IMAP advised the Spanish GRUPO SESÉ on the sale of the transport logistics business unit of its Essen based subsidiary, van Eupen Logistik GmbH & Co. KG to L.I.T. West Speditions GmbH, an entity which forms part of the global transportation group L.I.T. Through this transaction, van Eupen Logistik streamlines its operations in Germany and focuses on its core contract logistics business.

With this acquisition, L.I.T. Group systematically expands its presence in beverage logistics. “By acquiring the transportation business of van Eupen Logistik GmbH & Co. KG, we are creating strong synergies, pooling valuable expertise and systematically expanding our position in a market segment that is strategically important to us,” says Simeon Breuer, Managing Director of L.I.T. The transportation logistics division of van Eupen Logistik employs a total staff of around 120 who will bolster the L.I.T. Group's team at various locations. It operates a fleet of 85 truck units and 110 specialized trailers. Integrating the business within L.I.T. operations is expected to strengthen its operational performance.

L.I.T. WEST Speditions GmbH is a subsidiary of the internationally active L.I.T. Group. Based in Brake near Bremen, it offers comprehensive logistics solutions along the entire supply chain, employing over 4,000 people at more than 100 locations in 14 countries. With annual sales of around €985 million in 2024, a fleet of 1,850 trucks, and 950,000 m² of warehouse space, L.I.T. Group is one of Europe's leading logistics service providers.
