Shanka is the Chief Operating Officer of Alpen Capital, responsible for Operations, Policies & Procedures, Finance, IT, Special Projects, Legal, and Regulatory aspects of the organization. He is also the Chief Operating Officer of Alpen Asset Advisors Limited, which is Alpen Capital’s associate wealth and asset management entity.

Shanka has over 25 years of experience in Business and  Finance Transformation, Risk Management, FP & A, Data Analytics and regulatory compliance.  Prior to joining Alpen Capital, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Union Bank of Colombo PLC in Sri Lanka. He has also worked with Sanasa Development Bank PLC, Sri Lanka, in the capacity of acting CEO and CFO,  National Development Bank PLC, Sri Lanka in the capacity of Corporate Strategist and Business Intelligence.
