Lipóti Pékség Kft., one of Hungary's leading bakery franchise operators, has acquired 100% of Kolcsár Sütoipari Kft., a family-owned Hungarian bakery with over 30 years of history. The transaction completed in August 2025.

Founded in 1990 by György Kolcsár in Várgesztes, Kolcsár Kft. produces classic bakery and confectionery products, including a range of diabetic offerings, from its factory in Oroszlány. The company operates its own retail stores and a distinctive mobile sales cart distribution network, delivering products directly to customers across 80 settlements in the region. Its assortment spans more than 80 product types, centred on traditional Hungarian bakery staples.

The acquisition gives Lipóti Pékség access to Kolcsár's production base, established regional brand, and — most strategically — its mobile sales cart distribution model, which opens a new and efficient direct-to-consumer channel. Lipóti Pékség currently operates a franchise network of approximately 250 stores served by four production plants, and continues to expand its footprint across Hungary.
