Since the beginning of January 2017, Henning Graw (40) has been a new Partner at IMAP in Germany, where he is responsible for national and international buy and sell mandates. In addition, he is an acclaimed expert in special and distressed situations and has therefore, become head of the new international expert team Global Special Situations M&A at IMAP.

From 2010 to 2016, Henning Graw built up the Distressed M&A Business Unit for Rödl & Partner and previously headed numerous international M&A transactions at DC Advisory (formerly Close Brothers) for almost four years. From 2002 to the beginning of 2007, he gained extensive restructuring experience at the management consultancy TMC Turnaround Management Consult, where he developed and implemented numerous restructuring concepts. "With Henning Graw, we have systematically strengthened IMAP's corporate finance expertise and will continue to expand it," comments Karl Fesenmeyer, CEO and Founding Partner of IMAP in Germany.

In order to actively support affected companies or individual groups of creditors in crisis situations (Distressed M&A), IMAP has brought together the relevant competencies under the leadership of Henning Graw in a newly formed, internationally staffed team of experts Global Special Situations M&A. This ensures that IMAP can also provide competent support in crisis situations; where the company has subsidiaries in different countries with different framework conditions. IMAP already has extensive experience in handling transactions with companies in crisis situations.

Most recently, an M&A team led by CEO Peter Koch successfully accompanied a cross border transaction resulting from an insolvency, by selling Uniprint Knauer to the Serbian Al Pack. "The demand for globally efficient M&A advice on transactions in special situations is increasing and will continue to grow in the course of the planned harmonization of EU insolvency law," emphasizes Peter Koch, also a Member of the IMAP Executive Board. We combine our international experience from different legal circles allowing us to better position IMAP accordingly. We are also anxious to initiateM&A processes as early as possible in the event of identified corporate imbalances."

"By setting up an international team of experts with special know-how for special situations in conjunction with the existing sector know-how at IMAP, we ensure direct access to the decision-makers of strategic buyers and financial investors worldwide and a smooth process in time-critical situations," emphasizes Henning Graw.
