IMAP Italy advised Nutkao on acquisition of Belgian sweet spread prducer Boerinneke

Nutkao, a portfolio company of White Bridge Investments, leader in the production of hazelnut and chocolate spreadable creams marketed through the retail, gourmet and industrial channels, has acquired 100% of the capital of Boerinneke, a Belgium company leader in the production of chocolate and hazelnut spreadable creams under the brand Boerinekke and for private labels.

Founded in 1955 in Sint-Amands (Belgium), the company is active in the production of sweet spreads such as chocolate spreads, hazelnut-based spreads and cookie butter (speculoos). Boerinneke has a fragmented portfolio producing more than 150 recipes. In particular, the company is focused on organic, low sugar and protein-added spreads. The company is the #1 brand in Belgium after Nutella  and produces also for private labels.
