Fernando Cabos

He began his career at ARTHUR ANDERSEN BUSINESS CONSULTING, leading strategy, corporate finance, and consulting projects. He subsequently joined private equity firm, TALDE, as an investment manager. For five years he was a director at IBERDROLA, where he provided advice on company M&A transactions and the development of the group’s businesses, to one of the commissions of the company’s Board of Directors.

In 2004, by reason of his entrepreneurial spirit, he founded IMAP – Albia Capital.  Since then, he has taken part in more than 30 M&A transactions, many of them cross-border (Europe, Americas, India, the Middle East, and Africa) and across several industries. Among them, include the sale of Rubi Czech and Lahnwerk Rubi to the German Group Meleghy and the sale of Iberica de Sales to Minersa. He has also completed numerous financial restructuring processes and company valuations.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of various companies and was previously CEO of private equity firm Granville Private Equity Spain SGECR, S.A.

He is fluent in English and is a practiced public speaker, having organized courses and seminars related to corporate finance, private equity, and M&A transactions. He has also written multiple articles for specialized publications.

Fernando is a Graduate in Economic and Business Sciences, Financial Sciences and Insurance Actuary and CIA from the IIA in Florida.
