Ingemar Liljenberg sells and markets customer-unique products such as cast, punched, and processed components for the engineering and electronics industry
OEM International has today signed an agreement for the acquisition of Ingemar Liljenberg AB with an annual turnover of SEK 62 million in 2022/2023. Ingemar Liljenberg with headquarters in Vellinge, sells and markets customer-unique products such as cast, punched, and processed components for the engineering and electronics industry. The company also provides a fixed product range of locks, rails and fittings for wood and steel interiors.
- Ingemar Liljenberg is a well-managed company with products and solutions that complement OEM's existing range. The company will continue to be operated in its current form, but the ambition is to take advantage of synergy effects within the group, such as product range development, marketing and supplier coordination, comments Jörgen Zahlin, CEO and CEO of OEM International.
OEM International is one of Europe's leading technology trading companies with 34 operating units in 15 countries. The group operates in the trade of components and systems from leading suppliers in selected markets in Europe. A well-structured local market organisation and efficient logistics make OEM a better alternative to the supplier’s own sales organisations.
Johanna Eneberg, one of the owners to Ingemar Liljenberg comments: "With OEM as a new owner, we get a long-term and strong owner who shares our view of the company's opportunities and strengths as well as our values. With OEM, I feel that we have brought in an owner that can make the company even more competitive."
IMAP was the sellers' advisor throughout the sales process and since we got in touch with the owners of Ingemar Liljenberg early on, we were able to run an efficient and structured process.
Johanna continues; "IMAP has been a structured and reliable pillar throughout this, for us, new and unfamiliar process. It has been professional and safe from start to finish from the whole IMAP team and no question has been too small or too stupid where also have appreciated their incredible commitment and that they have always been available.”
Tim Persson, partner at IMAP, comments: "Ingemar Liljenberg is a well-managed company with a long history and stable development, and it has been a pleasure to work with and support the owners in this transaction. After a well-structured process with several interested parties, we are satisfied that the choice fell on OEM International, that has the resources, experience and knowledge required to continue developing the company. We wish them the best of luck and it will be exciting to continue following Ingemar Liljenberg in the future.”
