IMAP advises digital freight forwarder Shypple on acquisition of perishable goods logistics specialist Milestone
Shypple is a fast-growing digital freight forwarding company and has accelerated its growth through the acquisition of Milestone.
IMAP is pleased to announce that Rotterdam-based Shypple has acquired 100% of the shares of Dutch company Milestone Group B.V.(“Milestone”). Milestone is a leading and independent global freight forwarder specializing in perishable goods logistics. The Company is mainly engaged in air- and ocean freight forwarding services.
Shypple is a fast-growing digital freight forwarding company and has accelerated its growth through the acquisition of Milestone. The acquisition adds depth to Shypple’s platform and strengthens its global presence with the addition of Milestone’s international offices in Asia, Central America and Europe. Milestone’s clients who migrate to the Shypple platform benefit from the new technological possibilities while maintaining the trusted relationship. Shypple also becomes the first digital freight air- and ocean forwarding company for perishable goods.

Shypple aims to drive innovation in the global trade sector through its technological platform in a freight forwarding market predominantly operating with fragmented and outdated systems. Shypple has secured another €18.5 million of funding, adding to the €7.0 million of funding in April, for a total of € 25.5 million Series-A funding over the last four months. The recent funding is financed by the current investors as well as the Milestone executives.
