Cereal Docks is an Italian Industrial Group active in the first agro-food processing for the production of ingredients derived from oilseeds flour lecithin oils and cereals, for applications in the feed, food, pharma, cosmetic and technical sectors. With six production plants and two storage facilities, Cereal Docks processes over 2.5 million tons of cereals and oilseeds every year, involving a total of more than 14,000 farms in Italy.
The headquarters is in Camisano Vicentino (Vicenza), where 36 years ago Mauro and Paolo Fanin founded the company, a successful example of family business.
Cereal Docks was born in 1983, the business grew through the ‘80s and ‘90s, but the turning point occurred in 2000 when the first soybean processing plant was launched. In 2011, Cereal Docks acquires from Bunge another extraction plant in Venice, dedicated to the processing of soybeans extra EU.
In recent years, along the historic core business, the company has undertaken a process of diversification through the establishment of Cereal Docks Food, focused on lecithin, oils and functional mixtures, Cereal Docks Organic, specialized on organic, which was recently equipped with a plant for the processing of organic products, and Demethra Biotech, focused on the production of pure herbal extracts.
The Group has generated €790m of consolidated revenues in 2019 (a growth of 4% relative to 2018) and €54m of EBITDA (6,8% of EBITDA margin).
