IMAP Portugal announces a new Advisory Partner based in China
Based in China, David has over 25 years of experience in the country’s investment banking sector. He has spent the last 9 years as a Senior Banker at leading Russian, Japanese, French and US institutions, executing development financing, structured financing and direct investments.
IMAP Portugal (Invest Corporate Finance) is pleased to announce that “David” Zhang Wei is now part of its select group of Advisory Board members.
Based in China, David has over 25 years of experience in the country’s investment banking sector. He has spent the last 9 years as a Senior Banker at leading Russian, Japanese, French and US institutions, executing development financing, structured financing and direct investments.
Previously Head of Debt Capital Markets at SMBC (Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation), he was responsible for several ‘Belt and Road’ related power and infrastructure transactions, and as Senior Banker at BNP Paribas he supported cross-border trade finance and FX deals. During his time as Deputy GM at Bank of America Guangzhou, David provided corporate banking and ECM support to Chinese Corporates.
Invest Corporate Finance had the pleasure of meeting David at VTB Bank last year, in his capacity as Senior Banker within the organization’s Power and Infrastructure team.
