IMAP is pleased to announce that F2i and EI Towers reached an agreement to acquire the share holdings of Telecom Italia and GEDI Gruppo Editoriale in Persidera, a provider of transmission networks.
F2i is Italy’s leading closed-end infrastructure investment fund and among the largest in Europe, managing approximately €5 billion in assets. EI Towers is Italy’s leading independent operator of infrastructures utilized in both radio and television broadcasting and delivering telecommunications services.
Under the agreement, Persidera will be split into 2 entities, with F2i acquiring the company's 5 digital terrestrial frequencies and associated revenue-earning contracts and staff, while EI will absorb the network infrastructure. The demerger of the 2 entities is expected to be completed by Q4 2019, following relevant regulatory approval.
The team from IMAP Italy (Vitale&Co.), led by Roberto Sambuco and Giovanni Mautone, advised F2i and EI Towers trough the entire process.
