Scheybeeck, a Dutch family investment company with a history of backing ambitious businesses since 1962, has acquired Sandee Groen, a leading Dutch provider of green space construction and maintenance services. The transaction provides Sandee with additional capital to invest in its people, equipment, innovation, and digitalisation, and to pursue further growth through partnerships with owner-managed businesses seeking a long-term home.
Founded in 1989 by Jan Sandee and headquartered in Kamperland, Sandee designs, constructs, manages, and maintains outdoor spaces across landscaping, civil groundwork, planting, and year-round maintenance. With more than 250 employees, the company serves municipalities, recreation companies, care institutions, and businesses throughout the Netherlands, built on over 35 years of craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and long-term client relationships.
The transaction reflects the broader consolidation trend in the Dutch green services market, driven by municipalities and institutional clients increasingly tendering multi-year, full-service contracts and a large number of owner-managed businesses facing succession questions. Scheybeeck's family investment profile and long-term approach aligned closely with Sandee's own culture and vision.
IMAP Netherlands advised Sandee Groen on the transaction. The deal team consisted of Cees van Vliet, Martijn Ellens, and Caroline Hollema.
