IMAP has advised the shareholders of PKF IVT, a group of professional services firms active in auditing, tax advisory, tax compliance, IT consulting, and legal advisory, on the strategic partnership with an established professional services group backed by Ufenau Capital Partners, which includes PKF WMS, among others. PKF IVT will play a central role in building the new group, which additional mid-sized firms are expected to join in the future. Marking PKF IVT’s 50th anniversary, this strategic partnership paves the way for the next chapter of its development. Management, partnership structure, and mandate responsibility remain unchanged.
PKF IVT is headquartered in Munich and employs around 160 people. The partner-led firm serves a broad range of clients, from international corporate groups and mid-sized companies to private individuals, public institutions, funds, and financial investors. Beyond its core audit and tax advisory services, PKF IVT offers transaction and fund advisory services, consulting for the public transport sector as well as IT consulting, in particular implementation and support services relating to LucaNet.
Ufenau Capital Partners is an independent Swiss investment group based near Lake Zurich, focusing on majority investments in service companies across the DACH region as well as in Spain, Poland, the Benelux region, and the United Kingdom. Since 2011, the firm has invested in more than 450 European service companies and manages assets of approximately €5.0 billion. With its strategic partnership with PKF WMS in Osnabrück in 2025, Ufenau took the first step toward building a platform in the professional services sector, which is set to grow through further acquisitions. As an anchor company, PKF IVT will play an active role in shaping and developing this platform.
"By taking this step, we are laying the foundation for further growth, new areas of specialization, and the technological advancement of our firm, while ensuring full continuity for our clients, employees, and partners. We would like to sincerely thank the entire IMAP team for their expertise and trusted guidance throughout this transaction," said the shareholders of PKF IVT.
The IMAP team consisting of Andreas Widholz, Anna Eder and Ann-Kathrin Metzger exclusively advised the shareholders of PKV IVT throughout all phases of a structured M&A process, leading to its successful signing.
The closing of the transaction is subject to approval by the competent antitrust authorities.
