Robert Huber AG has acquired Auto Schmid AG, an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership based in Unterentfelden, Canton of Aargau, Switzerland, effective 27 May 2026. The transaction provides a long-term succession solution for the Schmid family business, which was founded in 1948.

Both companies have operated as authorised Mercedes-Benz partners in the Canton of Aargau for generations, and both are owner-managed with a strong commitment to regional service. This shared foundation made Robert Huber AG the natural successor, with the outgoing owners — Werner, Dominic, and Rudolf Schmid — satisfied that the business will continue in line with its values and culture. Auto Schmid AG will continue to operate as an independent entity, with no changes for its approximately 70 employees or its existing client relationships.

The acquisition represents a significant milestone in Robert Huber AG's over 100-year history, consolidating the Mercedes-Benz presence in Aargau and expanding the group's service capabilities across the region.
