BKW France acquired 100% of Volterres from its founder, Antoine Nogier, following a competitive process attracting leading European corporate players.

Founded in 2019, Volterres is a French electricity supplier providing businesses and local authorities with low-carbon, locally sourced electricity procurement solutions, while supporting independent producers in the valorisation of their output. The acquisition combines BKW's financial strength as an international group of more than 12,000 employees with Volterres' agility as a pioneer in the energy transition, creating a new competitive force in the French market capable of challenging established suppliers.
