Soprema, a global leader in waterproofing and construction solutions, has acquired Recubrimientos Texturizados (Retex), a Mexican specialist in cement-based and liquid chemical construction products. The transaction was announced in December 2024.

Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Cuautitlán Izcalli, Mexico, Retex is a respected provider of high-quality construction solutions including waterproofing membranes, mortars, and cement-based coatings. The company offers a portfolio of more than 80 products and distributes through a well-established network of over 200 points of sale across Mexico.

The acquisition provides Soprema with access to new market segments and strengthens its presence in Mexico, combining Retex's local market expertise and distribution network with Soprema's global reach and product portfolio.
