IMAP Brazil (Brasilpar) is pleased to announce that Zoetis, the largest animal health company worldwide, sold its 144,000 m2 pharmaceutical plant in Guarulhos, São Paulo, to Brazilian pharmaceutical company União Química. The transaction also involved a manufacturing and supply agreement between the parties, according to which União Química will be responsible for the manufacturing of Zoetis’ products.
Zoetis (NYSE: ZTS) – Global leader in animal health, present in more than 100 countries, with approximately 9 thousand employees and revenues of US$ 4.9 billion in 2016. The Brazilian market is the main international operation of Zoetis, representing 5% of its total revenues.
União Química – Company with more than 80 years of tradition in the Brazilian market, among the ten largest Brazilian pharmaceutical companies and leader in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products for third parties.
