Sobro invests in Candidator in Alingsås

Candidator is a successful knowledge-based company that offers complete IT, telephony and outsourcing services to small and medium sized companies in the Swedish market under the slogan “Make IT simple”. The company’s strategy is to build long-term customer relationships by combining the high level of service with effective solutions that give customers clear business benefits.

Sobro AB, has together with the founders of Candidator, Joachim Wingberg and Christer Johanesson and CEO Henrik Johansson signed an agreement to jointly continue to develop Candidator. Sobro will be the main owner of Candidator while Joachim, Christer and Henrik remains as significant minority shareholders and will continue to be active in the company.

Candidator is based in Alingsås, where the company currently has two state of the art data centers that every day, all year around, delivers stable and efficient IT services for the company’s approximately 150 contract customers. Candidator has since the start in 1997 shown a stable and strong growth and currently has 65 employees and a turnover of approximately 100 million SEK.

In connection with the transaction, Ronny Roos will be appointed as new chairman of the board. Ronny has extensive operational experience from leading positions in the IT industry, e.g. from WM Data, Conargi and CGI/Logica. Erik Hantoft, former CEO for Modul-System and Kemetyl, and vice President for Ballingslöv, will also be in the new board.
