IMAP Netherlands is pleased to announce that Unica has acquired Nijmeijer Koeltechniek and Schoonebeek Klimaattechniek.

Both companies are specialised providers of refrigeration and industrial climate technology solutions, with strong regional positions and longstanding customer relationships. Their combined expertise enhances Unica’s capabilities in refrigeration and strengthens its footprint in the industrial segment.

For Unica, refrigeration and industrial climate technology represent key focus areas within its industrial and building-related services. Growing demand for reliable and energy-efficient cooling solutions across sectors such as industry, food, commercial real estate and data centres continues to support strong market growth.

Founded in 1980 and based in Hoogeveen, Nijmeijer Koeltechniek specialises in industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems. The company provides design, installation and maintenance services across a broad range of industrial applications and is recognised for its engineering expertise and service capabilities.

Schoonebeek Klimaattechniek, established in 2000, focuses on climate control systems for commercial buildings. The company delivers energy-efficient, future-proof indoor climate solutions and has built a strong position in its regional market. Schoonebeek was acquired by Nijmeijer in 2023.

The transaction supports Unica’s strategy to expand its technical capabilities and deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions in this growing market.

Nijmeijer and Schoonebeek will continue to operate under their existing names and from their current locations, preserving their entrepreneurial culture while benefiting from the scale, expertise and network of the broader Unica platform.

Following completion, both companies will become part of Unica Industry Solutions, the division focused on industrial installations and technical specialisms.
