Pulverlacken i Hillerstorp AB (“Pulverlacken”) and Assars Industri AB (“Assars”) offer powder coating and surface treatment of steel to industrial customers throughout Sweden. Pulverlacken is a modern surface treatment company focused on automated processes and short lead times, while Assars has long experience in industrial surface treatment and handles both small and large production series. The companies are based in Hillerstorp in Småland and employ a total of 65 people. Together, they have significant capacity, modern equipment, and extensive expertise in the field. Environmental consideration and production efficiency are central to their operations, and in recent years they have made substantial investments in modern production equipment and new technology, enabling a high degree of automation.

Pulverlacken and Assars were founded in 2005 and 1947 respectively and have been owned by RBBW Invest since 2021. After several years of active development work and investments, the owners decided to carry out a sale to ensure the companies’ continued development under a long-term industrial owner. Krister, who has been the CEO of both companies, will continue in his role going forward and will also remain as a minority owner.

The new owner is the Nordic surface treatment group DOT, which employs over 950 people in Scandinavia, Ireland, and Northern Ireland. Its core competencies are surface treatment of steel, including hot-dip galvanizing, painting, powder coating, duplex treatment, metallization, as well as blasting and sandblasting. Through the acquisition of Pulverlacken and Assars, DOT strengthens its market presence in Sweden and creates even better conditions to serve customers within the Swedish industry.
