Piramal Finance Secures USD 150 Million Facility from Asian Development Bank
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has provided a USD 150 million term debt facility to Piramal Finance Limited, a leading Indian non-banking financial company and wholly owned subsidiary of Piramal Enterprises. Approximately 30% of the facility is earmarked for lending to women entrepreneurs, reinforcing Piramal Finance's commitment to gender inclusion alongside its broader MSME growth strategy.
Piramal Finance offers a comprehensive suite of retail and wholesale financial solutions including home loans, loan against property, MSME financing, used-vehicle loans, and corporate lending, serving a diverse customer base across India. The facility will enable the company to significantly scale its lending to India's SME and MSME segments, supporting financial access for underserved businesses across the country.
The transaction reflects ADB's continued commitment to inclusive economic development in Asia, with a focus on women-led enterprises and strengthening access to finance for small and medium-sized businesses in India.
