IMAP advised KERN LIEBERS, a family-owned company with over 135 years of history and the global market leader for smart springs and smart parts, on the sale of its subsidiary psm protech GmbH & Co.KG to KLEINER GmbH Stanztechnik. With the acquisition by KLEINER, psm protech becomes part of a group of companies that stands for technological excellence, sustainable growth, and long-term thinking.

The merger brings together two complementary technology leaders. KLEINER contributes high-precision stamping technology, press-fit expertise and comprehensive automation competence, while psm protech complements this with plastic-metal composite technology, hybrid solutions, assembly expertise and special machine construction. The result is a technologically broad and deeply integrated service portfolio.

For KLEINER, the acquisition of psm protech, which has locations in Marktschellenberg and Zalaegerszeg (Hungary), means gaining access to new customers and additional technological synergies, as well as strengthening its own skilled workforce and broadening its market presence.

Based in Pforzheim, KLEINER is a family-run specialist in high-precision punching technology, toolmaking, and system solutions. Since 1985, it has supplied customers in the automotive, medical technology, electronics, and energy technology industries. With around 300 employees at three locations, KLEINER stands for quality, innovation, and long-term partnerships.
