IMAP advised on sale of Bullyland GmbH

The business operations of Bullyland GmbH were sold to the newly founded Bullyworld GmbH, owned by the Eberl family business, as part of the insolvency proceedings.

Founded in 1973 in Spraitbach, Bullyland is a quality supplier of high-quality toy figures and market leader for licensed toy figurines. Due to unexpected liquidity bottlenecks, the company filed for insolvency on 06.09.2018. Michael Pluta, Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH, was appointed insolvency administrator by the local court.

The Eberl family, which has successfully managed several companies throughout Germany for more than 50 years, is delighted with the growth of the company. Managing Director Thomas Eberl says: "We are enthusiastic and convinced about the Bullyland figures and look forward to working with our existing and new employees to put the Bullyland brand back on the road of success. Our location here at the beautiful Chiemsee offers all the prerequisites for us to succeed in this. Here we can also use existing synergies effectively. The expertise from the logistics sector makes it possible to fulfil the changed market requirements of the toy industry. A consistent reorientation and expansion of new distribution channels will secure a sustainable market position in the long term.
