French healthcare services group Destia SAS, based in Olivet near Orleans, has acquired a 70% stake in HeRo-medicare GmbH, based in Mühlhausen, Thuringia. The founder, Heinz-Jürgen Keil, and all co-shareholders, including the managing directors, will retain a 30% stake, thus ensuring the independence and continuity of the company's management. Partnering with HeRo-medicare, Destia is entering the German market for outpatient care and plans to expand further in German-speaking countries – both organically and through acquisitions in the outpatient care sector. The company has been pursuing an internationalization strategy since 2022 and has already acquired care service firms in Spain (2022) and Ireland (2024). Destia has made over 60 acquisitions over the last 10 years.

HeRo-medicare is a provider of outpatient care services in Thuringia, founded in 2015, with a focus on non-clinical intensive care and outpatient psychiatric care. In addition, it offers traditional home care and domestic services. The company also operates two mother-father-child facilities. The range of services is rounded off by mobile therapy practices. The rapidly growing company expects revenues of over EUR 14 million in 2025 and employs a total staff of more than 200, including a large number of certified nursing professionals, almost all of whom are permanent employees.

Destia SAS is a market-leading provider of outpatient nursing services in France and employs more than 9,000 people, who are organized in 160 local offices (agences) in 60 departments in its French home market. Founded 2006 in Mulhouse, Alsace, the group is still led today by its charismatic founder and CEO Xavier Mura, who is supported in his expansion strategy by various French financial investors and family offices.
