IMAP advises Vancity on its acquisition of CoPower

Vancity Community Investment Bank (“VCIB”), a subsidiary of Vancity, is a values-based financial co-operative. VCIB focuses on lending for social purpose real estate and for assisting the deposit needs of not-for-profit organizations, foundations, and endowments.

Founded in 2013, CoPower is Canada’s first sustainable investment platform and a leading provider of financing to clean energy and energy efficiency projects. CoPower uses an online investment platform to create impact investment products for the retail market, and finances community-scale clean energy and energy efficiency projects through Green Bonds.

Capital West Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to VCIB on this transaction.
