The new owner is Seafire, which has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in Splendor Plant AB. The business will continue to operate as before, with a strong focus on cultivation and wholesale combined with innovation and development. Seafire is a publicly listed corporate group that creates growth by acquiring and developing profitable companies with a long-term perspective. With Seafire as the new owner, Splendor Plant will continue to be a strong supplier of a wide assortment of plants characterized by quality and vitality, adapted to Swedish conditions.
For Nils and his brothers, it has been essential to find a new owner with a long-term perspective and a clear ambition to continue developing the company. Shared core values regarding how to run businesses, culture, and respect nature have been important considerations.
In Seafire, Splendor has found an owner that meets these ambitions. Seafire aims to build strong knowledge clusters around its existing subsidiaries. Together with the existing subsidiary Bara Mineraler, Splendor Plant will form a business area within green infrastructure, with significant potential for collaboration.
Nils Andersen, CEO and main shareholder of Splendor Plant: “For us, it was important to find a long-term owner for our life’s work. We have great respect for Bara Mineraler, which we often encounter in the market, and throughout the process Seafire has clearly demonstrated its ambition to continue building industrially and long-term around Splendor Plant and the green infrastructure market. With Seafire, we gain a long-term owner with strong values that match our own. I look forward to, together with all our employees, becoming part of the Seafire Group and continuing the development of Splendor Plant.”
Daniel Repfennig, CEO and Group CEO of Seafire: “We are pleased to welcome Splendor Plant to the Seafire family. Splendor Plant is a clear market leader in Sweden and the Andersen brothers have built the company with a genuine long-term perspective. We are impressed by the company’s strong track record, strong culture, and satisfied customers. The market is attractive and we see significant potential going forward. Splendor Plant meets many of the criteria we have set for Seafire’s next acquisition.”
