IMAP advised the shareholders of Vendoleo GmbH, an innovative branded manufacturer in the personal care sector, on the sale to Royal Sanders. Royal Sanders is a portfolio company of 3i Group and one of Europe's leading manufacturers of personal care products for private labels and branded companies. With this acquisition, Royal Sanders is not only expanding its existing brand portfolio but also strengthening its presence in one of Europe's most important markets.
Vendoleo GmbH, based in Planegg near Munich, was founded in 2011 and specializes in high-quality body care products. The company successfully markets its products under the treaclemoon and ORINIQ brands. The product portfolio includes shower gels, scrubs, soaps, bath additives and hand creams and is characterized by a clear brand positioning and a high recognition value. The products are primarily aimed at a female target group and are available exclusively in drugstores. With innovative product design, high-quality ingredients and trendy fragrances, Vendoleo has established itself as a relevant player in the German personal care market.
Royal Sanders was founded in 1851 and is headquartered in Vlijmen, the Netherlands. The company is a leading European manufacturer of personal care products. Its focus is on private label products and contract manufacturing for brand partners. Royal Sanders also markets its own established brands, including Odorex, Sanicur, Melkmeisje, Proset, FreshUp and Van Gils. The product portfolio mainly comprises bath and shower gels, face, hair and body care products, deodorants, and fragrance products. The key markets served are the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Germany. Royal Sanders operates seven production facilities, employs over 1,500 people and generates annual sales of around € 600 million.
