The Schelfhout family has acquired Diresco, a Belgian manufacturer of engineered stone surfaces, from private equity investor Creafund, marking a return of family ownership to the business.
Diresco is a specialist producer of engineered stone surfaces, holding a leading position in its sector. Under Creafund's ownership, the company underwent a significant investment programme encompassing a full rebranding, new production lines, and enhanced manufacturing techniques, repositioning the business at the forefront of the engineered stone market. The founding Schelfhout family, which retains an ongoing involvement in the business, will now drive the next phase of Diresco's growth.
The transaction reflects continued appetite among family and entrepreneurial investors for well-invested, market-leading niche manufacturers in the Benelux region.
Degroof Petercam – IMAP Belgium acted as exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders of Diresco on the transaction. The deal team consisted of Vincent Jamaer, Alexander Aerts, and Jan Stockman.
