IMAP Switzerland acted as lead advisor to Bühler Group on the sale of its UK subsidiary, CDD Automation Solutions Ltd, to VINCI Energies (UK & ROI). The transaction closed on 10 September 2026.

Founded in 1981 and based in Peterborough, CDD Automation Solutions is a certified system integrator of automation and control systems for the food and feed industry. It works across Rockwell Automation, Siemens and AVEVA platforms and covers project delivery, maintenance, system upgrades and 24/7 support. The company has been part of Bühler Group, the Swiss technology group, since the early 1990s.

VINCI Energies, part of France's VINCI Group, helps companies worldwide with their digital and energy transition. Its 2,200 business units in 60 countries plan, integrate and operate multi-technical solutions, from automation to energy infrastructure. In 2025 it generated revenue of EUR 21.6 billion and had around 109,000 employees.

For Bühler, the sale follows a strategic decision to focus on its core businesses. For VINCI Energies, the deal adds automation and control expertise in the UK and Ireland. All 32 CDD employees will join VINCI Energies' team of more than 230 control systems specialists in the UK.
