Jabil Inc. (NYSE: JBL), a global leader in engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing solutions, has acquired Hanley Energy Group, a specialist provider of energy management and critical power solutions for the data centre infrastructure market, for approximately $725 million in cash plus contingent consideration of up to $58 million subject to future revenue thresholds. The transaction closed on January 2, 2026.

Founded in 2009 and dual-headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia and Stamullen, Ireland, Hanley Energy Group designs, develops, supplies, installs, and commissions turnkey, mission-critical power and energy management solutions from the power grid to the data centre rack. The company employs 850 people across 13 global locations and serves hyperscale and enterprise data centre customers worldwide, with capabilities spanning low and medium voltage switchgear, power distribution units, monitoring and control systems, and full lifecycle services. First-year annualized revenues are projected at $350–$400 million, supported by mid-to-high-teens EBITDA margins.

The acquisition strengthens Jabil's position in the data centre power management sector, combining Hanley Energy's deep expertise in energy optimisation and critical power with Jabil's global manufacturing footprint and supply chain capabilities — a combination well positioned to serve the growing power demands of AI hyperscalers.
