Svensk Målningsteknik ("SMT") has over 35 years of experience in organic surface treatment. Its core processes include blasting, powder coating, and ED-coating, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality and customized surface treatment solutions. The company operates from its own well-invested and highly automated production facilities in Moheda, just outside Växjö.

Thanks to the company’s broad expertise and high level of automation, SMT is able to meet the technical requirements of customers across a wide range of industries. The company has long-term partnerships with clients in sectors such as automotive, construction equipment, infrastructure, and furniture manufacturing. SMT has approximately 40 employees and reported revenues of SEK 63 million in 2024 with solid profitability.

Through this acquisition, Swedecote becomes a comprehensive provider of surface treatment services, offering complementary solutions within both inorganic and organic surface treatment. The group already includes the surface treatment company Ferroprotect.

SMT’s current management team, who were also the company’s previous owners, will continue to lead the business going forward.
