idiCo, a Paris-based private equity firm and subsidiary of the IDI Group, has acquired a minority stake in Kaviari, a leading French specialist in premium caviar and luxury seafood products, as part of a primary management buy-out alongside the management team and a pool of investors including Bpifrance, UI Investissement, and IRD. The transaction allows the existing management team, led by Raphaël Bouchez and Karin Nebot, to retain majority control of the business.

Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Paris, Kaviari has built over 50 years of expertise in the selection, maturation, and conditioning of caviar, establishing itself as a reference in the premium seafood sector. The company operates a central laboratory in Ivry-sur-Seine dedicated to product maturation, conditioning, and logistics, and offers a broad range of products including multiple caviar varieties, smoked salmon, and other premium seafood products. Kaviari generates approximately €60 million in revenues and employs 200 people, with nearly 50% of revenues generated internationally through a well-recognised brand in the gastronomic world.

The investment will support Kaviari's next phase of development, including international expansion, broadening its premium product range and B2B client base, and pursuing identified external growth opportunities.
