ACEA S.p.A., one of Italy's leading multi-utility groups, has sold a 30% stake in Acea Sun Capital S.r.l. (ASC), its photovoltaic platform, to Equitix Ltd, raising Equitix's total stake in ASC to 90%. The transaction was accompanied by an expansion of ASC's photovoltaic portfolio to 144 MWp. ACEA will retain operational management of the plants and continue to hold a significant portion of off-take contracts through long-term power purchase agreements.

The transaction supports ACEA's strategy of recycling capital from its renewable energy assets while maintaining operational control and long-term revenue visibility through PPAs. For Equitix, the increased stake and expanded portfolio reinforce its position as a significant investor in Italian solar infrastructure.
