Ian specializes in the healthcare sector. Prior to joining, Ian was a partner at IMAP’s London based member firm Regent Assay. He has moved to the Netherlands following Brexit as he feels he can better serve international healthcare clients from the European Mainland. Ian has more than 20 years of professional M&A experience having previously worked in-house for NYSE-listed Medical Device business The Cooper Companies, where he was responsible for international corporate development and acquisitions. Ian was also a shareholder and director of UK tech firm Mistral Internet where he undertook 9 acquisitions in 3 years before selling the business to KCOM.

Ian advised the shareholders of Enraf-Nonius, the well-known Dutch physiotherapy and rehabilitation medical device company, on the sale to Zimmer MedizinSysteme GmbH. Other recent healthcare deals include the acquisition of the assets of Electron Eye Technologies by IDE Vision, the sale of Infoflex to Civica, the sale of DTR Medical to Innovia Medical, the sale of National Slimming Clinics to Private Equity, the acquisition of Single Use Surgical by WH Eakin and the acquisitions of The Pipette Company and Research Instruments by Coopersurgical Inc. Ian was also part of the IMAP global healthcare teams on the acquisition by Covalon of Aquaguard,  the sale of Eurotec to Convatec  and the recent sale of the Aquaguard barrier technology by Covalon.

Ian has also been retained to provide strategic advisory services to a number of healthcare companies including Diploma Healthcare, ProsFit, WH Eakin, Timesco Healthcare, Sifi, Rayner Medical, Paraytec, Lagad,  Kirkstall and Stonechecker.
