IMAP International M&A Partners - Spring 2022 Conference - Paris, France

IMAP's partner in France & Belgium, Degroof Petercam, hosted the IMAP Spring conference in April 2022, gathering over 130 global M&A dealmakers from Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. 

Conference Highlights

Highlights included symposium guest speaker Martin Hirsch, Chairman of the Institut de l'Engagement and CEO of the Greater Paris University Hospitals (AP-HP), the largest European hospital group, who spoke about his work on social business and poverty. 

Krisztián Orbán, Founder and Managing Partner of private equity firm Oriens, was guest speaker at IMAP's Geopolitical Panel session and gave an overview of the current geopolitical situation following the war on Ukraine. This was followed by a panel discussion with IMAP partners on how this is affecting the M&A dealmaking landscape globally.

Winners of the IMAP 2021 Awards were announced celebrating and acknowledging the dealmakers and teams who contributed to IMAP’s record year in 2021, closing an all-time high 294 M&A transactions worth over $27 billion.  IMAP Dealmaker of the year was the Capstone Partners team and the Spirit of IMAP Award, which recognizes IMAP members who epitomize collaborative spirit and whose personal contribution has played a key role in strengthening the bonds between the IMAP teams, was awarded to Torsten Denker from IMAP Germany.

The second day of the conference was dedicated to IMAP corporate strategy, business development and deepening the ties between the colleagues who travelled from all four corners of the globe to attend the event.

IMAP Fall Conference

Francois Wohrer, Group Head of Investment Banking at Degroof Petercam, handed over the baton to Fernando Cabos, Partner at IMAP Albia Capital, for the next conference hosted by the team in Bilbao, Spain, in early November.
