IMAP Netherlands advises IMT, leading provider of IoT telematics for the tank container and rail car industry, on raising growth capital

IMAP is pleased to announce that Intermodal Telematics (IMT), the leading provider of Internet-of-Things (IoT) telematics for the tank container and rail car industry has raised growth capital from multiple private investors to execute its growth strategy.

Founded in 2013, IMT develops and produces a wide range of industrial sensors which collect and transmit data about the tank container or rail car and its cargo, such as location, temperature, pressure, full-empty status, and load-unload status, to IMT’s proprietary web portal.

With the growth capital, the company will further strengthen its position in its core markets with IMT’s new Sensor-as-a-Service model, as well as further expand internationally and to adjacent markets.
Logistics 4.0 and IMT

There is an increasing demand for smart industrial solutions. Telematics facilitate smart tank containers and rail cars, crucial for the irreversible trend of innovation, transformation and big data in the logistics sector. All smart sensors serve the overall objective: improve transparency, increase safety, increase efficiency, reduce costs and make management by exceptions possible.

Dethmer Drenth, IMT’s founder and MD commented

“IMAP has a strong understanding of our business model and the market dynamics. They advised us throughout the process and we worked pleasantly together on creating a compelling equity story, translating into high-quality deliverables.”
