Beijerinvest acquires Räckesbutiken Sweden, a company that manufactures customized glass railings for balconies, terraces and indoor environments. The products are sold directly to customers via the company’s own web shop. The product offering has already been internationalized and the products are predominantly exported. Together with Beijerinvest, the growth journey will now continue.
Räckesbutiken was founded in 2010 by the two cousins Andreas Wedberg and André Svensson, who together simplified the way to efficiently produce and market glass railings. Via the company’s websites in 7 countries, customers design and order customized products that are delivered directly to their door.
”Räckesbutiken works in a very modern way. Through digital solutions they have made the difficult moments easy - simplified the buying process for the customers as well as streamlined the production and logistics. In addition, the offering has already been successfully internationalized”, says Anders Eller, CEO of Beijerinvest.
The founder and CEO Andreas Wedberg will remain as a co-owner. “Now we have found a partner that can help us in our continued development. In 2019 Räckesbutiken will move to larger premises and make investments that will double the production capacity. At the same time, new products are being launched. The goal is also to grow through acquisitions, where Räckesbutiken sees that their digitalisation expertise will provide additional growth opportunities.
Räckesbutiken has had a good growth since the start of the company, reaching a turnover of around EURO 5 million in 2018. The company’s main market is Sweden, but the company is also covering Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Austria and France. Räckesbutiken is based in Ängelholm in the south of Sweden and has about 30 employees.
