IMAP closes 193 M&A deals worth over $7.0 billion
IMAP closed 193 M&A transactions valued at over $7.0 billion in 2020, down from the 7 year high of 235 deals closed in 2019.
IMAP is pleased to announce that Zephyr Trading has acquired Skandiaverken Group (SKV). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Established in 1974, Zephyr is located in La Spezia, Italy. It provides parts and services to ships worldwide, both on board and ashore and is the market leader in Italy in this sector.
SKV is based in Bizkaia, Spain, with subsidiaries in the UK and Peru. It specializes in dealing with original parts for 2 and 4 stroke marine engines and has over 12,000 different products. Exports account for more than 80% of its sales and in 2017, SKV had a total turnover of over EUR18 million. It currently employs circa 50 people across its various premises.
By acquiring SKV, Zephyr becomes a global reference in the supply of marine motor parts and repair services.
The IMAP Spain team acted as financial advisor to Zephyr on the 100% acquisition of SKV.
