The family-owned Haas GmbH enters into a partnership with Dawn Farm Foods from Ireland
The medium-sized, family-owned Haas GmbH ("Haas"), a producer of (pizza) toppings for frozen foods based in Nonnweiler-Otzenhausen, Saarland, becomes part of Dawn Farm Foods ("DFF"), an international supplier of meat and sausage products based in Ireland.

The founder and managing director of Haas GmbH, Achim Haas, and the second managing director, Patrick Treitz, will be managing the company further. The closing of the transaction is subject to antitrust approval and scheduled for September 2019.
Founded over 25 years ago, Haas GmbH specializes in the production of tailor-made variations of salami and boiled ham as well as in the processing of tuna, vegetables, fruit and cheese. In the modern production facility of Haas the produced toppings comply with the highest quality, safety and hygiene standards. Haas is a reliable solution provider with comprehensive warehousing and logistics services ("just-in-time"). The company currently employs over 100 people, mainly in the areas of production, engineering and quality management.
Founded in 1985, still family-owned Dawn Farm Foods is one of the largest specialist European suppliers to the food service industry and food manufacturers operating in the pizza, sandwich, snack and convenience food sectors. The company distributes its products in more than 44 countries, predominantly in Europe, as well as in the Middle East and Africa. In addition to two production facilities in Ireland, DFF operates a plant in Northampton, England – the largest cooked bacon processing factory in the UK. Due to the partnership with Haas, DFF has established its first production site in continental Europe with further expansion prospects ahead.

IMAP advised the founder of Haas GmbH during all phases of the transaction process, with cross-border support in the introductory phase from members of the IMAP Ireland team, Key Capital. The transaction was completed within a few months via an auction process with selected domestic and foreign investors.
