IMAP advises the shareholders of CTJ Janssen GmbH on its sale to JOST

IMAP advised the shareholders of CTJ Janssen GmbH ("CTJ"), an established transport and logistics company headquartered in Grevenbroich, on the sale of the company to JOST, one of Europe's leading transport and logistics providers, as part of a succession solution. With the acquisition, JOST strengthens its presence in Germany and expands its existing network with a strategically well-located site in the Rhine-Ruhr region.

Founded more than 40 years ago, CTJ has established a strong reputation in road transport, logistics and warehousing, serving customers primarily in the food, beverage and consumer goods sectors. CTJ currently generates annual revenues of approximately €135 million and employs around 650 people.

CTJ, active in the less-than-truckload and full-truckload segments, owns approximately 400 trucks and more than 500 trailers. Taking into consideration subcontractors and the spot market, CTJ loads approximately 650 vehicles per day. Beyond its transportation activities, the company provides warehousing and value-added logistics services on approximately 5,000 m² of warehouse space.

With the acquisition, JOST employs approximately 4,000 people and operates a fleet of around 2,100 trucks and 4,500 trailers. The group is active in Europe and North Africa and provides services in road and multimodal transport as well as in warehousing, freight forwarding and customs handling.

"CTJ has established a strong position in the German transport and logistics market through operational excellence, long-standing customer relationships and a highly experienced workforce. By combining our complementary strengths, we will further enhance our European network and create additional value for our customers,” says Roland Jost, Managing Partner of JOST.

"With JOST, we have found a long-term-oriented partner that offers CTJ a strong perspective for its future development. Both companies share high standards in customer service and operational quality, while the strengths that have made CTJ successful over the years will be preserved," commented Olaf Meyers, Managing Partner of CTJ.

The IMAP team, consisting of Henning Graw, Max Victor Müller and Pauline Wohlleben advised the shareholders of CTJ Janssen GmbH exclusively throughout all phases of a structured M&A process.
