Pinnacle (IMAP Japan) advised Teijin Frontier, a wholly owned subsidiary of Teijin which is one of the largest Japanese synthetic fiber manufacturers, on the carve-out its logistics subsidiary. Teijin Logistics provides warehousing and transportation services with a network of facilities primarily in Western Japan. It handles logistics-related operations for synthetic fiber and chemical manufacturers, including the Teijin Group, contributing to stable supply. Furthermore, it has extensive experience in handling third-party products, possessing a wealth of expertise and know-how in handling synthetic fibers and chemicals.
The Japanese logistics industry is undergoing a period of significant transformation, facing challenges such as structural labor shortages and several legal reforms. In this context, joining the Yasuda Warehouse Group, which possesses abundant logistics assets and networks both domestically and internationally, is expected to enable the provision of more flexible and sophisticated logistics services, leading to further development.
Yasuda Logistics believes that by integrating the logistics facilities, transportation networks, customer bases, and logistics expertise of both companies, with the aim of expanding its network, it will be possible to provide even more stable and comprehensive logistics services that will satisfy their customers.
