This October, 120 IMAP M&A professionals from 40 countries came together in Copenhagen for the IMAP Fall 2025 Conference - a key event on the IMAP calendar that connects our global partners, celebrates collaboration, and explores the forces shaping the mid-market M&A landscape.
Hosted by DealHaus - IMAP Denmark, the conference kicked off with a powerful Symposium on Cybersecurity, featuring keynote speaker Michael Andersen, who explored how companies-and advisors-must strengthen their defenses against rising digital threats in today’s increasingly data-driven M&A environment.
As part of IMAP’s ongoing commitment to thought leadership, we also began filming for our upcoming IMAP M&A Insights Video Series, capturing expert commentary from both IMAP partners and external industry leaders.

Industry Trends, Private Equity, and Economic Shifts
Day two of the conference delivered a full agenda of panel discussions, expert presentations, and strategic exchanges, centered on the evolution of investment banking, private equity, and cross-border M&A in today’s volatile global market.
Key highlights included:
- Best-practice sessions focused on building and scaling advisory businesses, led by experts from across IMAP’s 39 partner firms.
- A keynote presentation from Christian Schmidt-Jacobsen, Partner at Axcel, one of Northern Europe’s leading private equity firms. He shared insights into their latest fund, Axcel Elevate, and discussed how PE investors are driving growth and transformation across small and mid-cap companies.
- An engaging session by Krisztián Orbán, Founder and Managing Partner at Oriens, who examined the emerging economic order redefining global trade, capital flows, and M&A strategy - particularly the shifting dynamics between the U.S., China, and Europe.
The evening concluded with a Gala Dinner in Copenhagen’s historic Axelborg Hall - a converted bank that provided the perfect setting to celebrate collaboration, strengthen relationships, and reflect on IMAP’s continued success as a leading global M&A advisory partnership.
