Polenghi Food S.p.A., an international leader in the production of lemon and lime juice-based condiments, has completed a minority stake transaction in which an investment vehicle controlled by entrepreneur Marco Polenghi acquired the stake previously held by private equity fund Progressio SGR. The transaction also involved Crédit Mutuel Equity, through its Swiss subsidiary CIC Capital (Suisse) SA, and IDIA Capital Investissement, a company controlled by Crédit Agricole. The Group's CEO Filippo Scandellari and key members of the management team reinvested in the company as part of the transaction, reaffirming their commitment to Polenghi's growth strategy.
Headquartered in Piacenza, Polenghi produces and markets a broad range of condiments under its own brands and on a private label basis, serving leading players in Modern Trade and Ho.Re.Ca. channels. The Group generates over 95% of its revenues internationally, operating five production facilities across Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, and the United States.
The transaction strengthens the Group's ownership structure and supports the continuation of Polenghi's international growth strategy.
Vitale – IMAP Italy acted as financial advisor to Polenghi Food on the transaction, providing support in deal structuring, negotiations, and due diligence coordination.
