IMAP is pleased to announce that IMAP Morocco (Ascent Capital Partners) advised Biomag and its shareholders on its 100% strategic sale to Comaner, Morocco’s leading distributor and producer of food ingredients and additives.
Founded in 1980 and owned by the Tazi family, Biomag is a Moroccan company specialized in the formulation and production of liquid and powdered flavorings as well as functional blends for the food processing industry. Biomag serves a broad range of applications including dairy, confectionery, snacks, sauces, and processed meats.
This acquisition aligns with Comaner’s strategic objective to expand its footprint in the high-value flavor and blend segments, while reinforcing its integrated offering as a one-stop shop for the food manufacturing industry. The transaction will enable Biomag to accelerate its development plan with the backing of a partner that brings significant sector expertise, strong operational capabilities, and a broad client base.
This transaction underscores IMAP Morocco’s expertise in the agribusiness sector and its ability to support founder-led businesses in strategic operations.
IMAP Morocco's team, led by Mehdi Berbich, alongside Marouane Naim and El Mahdi Agouzoul, was delighted to advise Biomag and its shareholders on this transaction.
