Balthazar den Breems
Balthazar is Partner at DB&S Corporate Finance (IMAP Netherlands). The firm, founded by Mr. Den Breems and Remco Schouten, was established on April 1, 2005. Before that Balthazar worked at KPMG Corporate Finance where he advised on international and domestic complex acquisitions and business successions in various sectors, focusing on medium-sized enterprises. Balthazar began his involvement in M&A in 1993, working for supermarket chain Unigro (Laurus), and developing further expertise at retailer Vendex/KBB, where approximately 100 new stores for one of the brands, Bruna, were opened in a three-year period.
Balthazar has conducted training courses on buying and selling companies for entrepreneurs, account managers with banks, accountants, and officials within industry bodies and has experience as a guest lecturer of Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Balthazar holds an MBA (drs) in Business Administration, Open University and a BBA in Business Economics from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
Jan-Pieter Borst joined IMAP DB&S (IMAP Netherlands) as a Partner in October 2005. He has great experience in providing support with acquisition and sales processes, mergers, MBOs and MBIs, valuations, securing capital from holding companies and private equity, succession problems in family firms and outsourcing. In the preparatory phase, he offers added value in readying your business for sale, reorganizations and strategy development. In 1993 Jan Pieter joined the international audit practice of Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), where he dealt with acquisitions, reorganisations and due diligence investigations. Because his greatest interest lay in acquisitions, in 1999 he started work as a financial analyst with Turnpoint, an acquisitions boutique with branches in Rotterdam and a number of other European cities. During that time, he gained a great deal of experience with cross-border acquisitions.
Jan-Pieter´s main proactice areas are: M&A, Corporate Finance, Restructuring, and Valuation.
Jan-Pieter holds a business degree in Strategic and Financial Management and post graduate degree in Accountancy from the Business School, Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Remco Schouten is a Senior Partner at IMAP DB&S Corporate Finance (IMAP Netherlands). He has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance including acquisition and sales processes, mergers, MBOs and MBIs, securing capital from holding companies and private equity, handling succession issues in family firms, and outsourcing. Remco has also been involved in preparing businesses for sale, strategy development, change management and reorganizations. Prior to co-founding the firm with his former colleague and friend, Balthazar den Breems, Remco was a corporate finance advisor and interim manager for large companies, including DTO and Philips Semiconductors (NXP and a partner with Justion Adviesgroep). He also worked at KPMG Management Consultants, advising clients on management, corporate finance and organizational issues. Remco began his career as a controller and quality assurance manager at the SGS Nederland Group, part of a Swiss multinational.

Remco has a degree in Business Economics from Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.
